Knowing the Heart of God: Walking in His Pre-Ordained Plan
The ultimate key to an unshakeable, victorious life is moving beyond merely knowing the hand of God to understanding His heart, surrendering fully to His pre-established will, and anchoring your mind in His unbending Word.
- Spiritual Alignment: The Heart of God vs. The Hand of God
True spiritual maturity means seeking God's heart rather than just reaching for His hand. When you know His heart, you stay anchored in His specific place for your life, where His pre-established blessings reside, just as Kenneth Copeland blessed Oral Roberts by simply standing behind him and carrying his coat rather than chasing his own assignment. It is not what you do that makes the difference; it is who you obey that matters.
"O Lord, thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off... In thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them." Psalm 139:1–2, 16
- Divine Design: Your Life Plan Is Already Unfolded
God’s thoughts toward you are superior, higher, and already established before your physical existence. You are an eternal spirit, fearfully and wonderfully made, whose purpose was scripted in the "kitchen of heaven" long before you arrived on Earth. Walking in His plan brings peace because His thoughts and His words never return void; they always accomplish what He pleases.
"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:8–9
- Practical Obedience: The Bible as Your Daily Life Manual
Many people feel as though God has no plan for them simply because they refuse to search the Scriptures when troubles arise. We must avoid the mistake of King Amaziah in 2 Chronicles 25, who did what was right outwardly, but lacked a loyal heart, worrying more about his lost silver talents than yielding to God's instruction. The Word of God is His mind in print; use it as your practical manual, knowing that God is always able to give you far more than whatever you lose by obeying Him.
"Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is." Ephesians 5:17
- Peaceful Surrender: Trading Human Logic for Divine Promise
Human reasoning and intellect will always stumble over divine plans, just as the Pharisees searched the Scriptures yet missed the Living Word (John 5:39–40). When facing impossible situations, adopt the surrender of Mary, who chose peaceful alignment with God’s Word over fear and cultural judgment (Luke 1:38). When man cooperates with God, nothing shall be impossible.
- Mindset Over Anxiety: Reclaiming Joy and Guarding Your Thoughts
Anxiety creeps into adulthood when we lose child-like trust and stop meditating on God’s goodness. As Paul wrote from a prison cell in Philippians 4:4–7, we must actively rejoice, take back our joy, and turn every worry into a faith-filled prayer. Like Jehoshaphat facing a vast multitude in 2 Chronicles 20, set your heart to seek the Lord, acknowledge His sovereign power, and focus on what is working by acknowledging every good thing in you (Philemon 1:6).
