You Belong to God’s Family
Giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love. - Colossians 1:12-13
Being born again is the only thing that translates you from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light. Being born again is not about mentally agreeing that Jesus is Lord, it is something that must come from the mouth and agree with the heart.
The reality of belonging to God's family will help you not to easily get frustrated when people fail you. It helps you to relate with people in the knowledge that nothing can frustrate you. Believers should be wiser than unbelievers; always remember that the devil is their master who can manipulate them at will to commit evil. Knowing this, you will not get frustrated by their actions, criticisms, betrayal, gossip, falsehood etc.
When a man is delivered from the kingdom of darkness, he must make conscious determination to relate as someone who belongs to the family of God because there is no vacuum in the realm of the spirit. The devil that was cast out is not dead, he is roaming about, seeking to come back to his former abode. This is why you must settle down and grow in God. When you receive Jesus as your Saviour, then God becomes your Father. It looks too simple to believe, but that is the good news (gospel) that makes us citizens of heaven.
It is a pity some deny the existence of God; they even deny the reality of heaven and hell. But one day, they will find out what they think does not exist actually exists. What do you do when you find out that you have believed a lie for too long? At that point, it will be too late to change their mind; eternity is a place of no-return. The fact that some deny God's existence does not remove the fact that God is the uncreated creator of existence. An eternity of fire is not something to joke with; you must settle down and be serious with God.
Prayer: Believing that God exists is not enough to make it to heaven but believing in Jesus who died as our substitute. Help me O Lord to be a good ambassador of your kingdom on earth in Jesus Christ Name
