Benefits of Loving God (2)
Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.”- Psalm 91:14-16
Yesterday, we started looking at the benefits of loving God and today we would continue from where we stopped.
(3) When you call upon Him, He will answer you. There is no possibility for denial of your heart desire if you love the Lord.
(4) He will be with you in trouble. There are troubles in the world, whether you pray or not. But as a child of God, loved by the Lord, God has promised that no matter what happens in the world, trouble will not have you.
(5) With long life He will satisfy you. If you promise me any good thing, I will first see if you also have it or not before I can be sure you will keep to your word. I cannot believe you if you promise me a shoe while you walk barefooted. How can you promise me something you do not have? Does God have life? Is He not immortal? Yes! Can He die? No! The One that has promised you long life is the God who is immortal; He cannot die. The God that has promised you long life lives forever so you can count on His words. If the English language means what it says, the word ‘satisfy’ means the onus of having enough depends on you. If I promise to satisfy you with water, it then means you will continue to get more until you say you have had enough. It means God is saying your living or dying is not in the hand of your enemy but in your hands through your love for Him. Love multiplies by saying it. If you tell a woman 'I love you' continuously, the love will increase. When you love somebody, you should say it because love should be expressed. Always tell the Lord you love Him.
Do not doubt God's love for you. Many start to doubt God when they feel the time is going, and their expected miracle seems to delay. You should not allow time to make any difference to understand God's love for you. You should always love Him; even when there is a delay because what people call delay is not a divine denial. Love and respect this God because He loves and cares for you dearly and affectionately. Demonstrate your love for God more than any other person, and you will surely receive the benefits of loving Him.
Prayer: Thank you Father for the provision you have made for me in your love. Help me to really come to know through practical experience of the immeasurable love of Christ
