What Faith Is
Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith.- Habakkuk 2:4
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. - Hebrews 11:1-2
Faith is a sixth sense; a supernatural power to reach a supernatural God. Faith is a shield: It is both an offensive and defensive weapon. Your faith is meant to shield you from the attacks of the enemy (Ephesians 6:16) the bible devil is a defeated devil. However, there is a devil of the human mind so to speak, that must be conquered. In this connection, we are to take our stand continually against the onslaught, having our hearts loaded with the word through meditation and confession.
Faith is a gift and a life to the believers. Faith is the connecting link between the physical and the spiritual realms. It is always seen in action. This was demonstrated when Rahab, the harlot helped the spies sent by Joshua because she submitted to God. Those who solve problems for others are favoured by God (Psalm 5: 12) Rahab, an unlikely woman eventually got married to a man in the lineage of the Messiah.
As a child of God, you should rise up in faith and plead the blood of Jesus over your house. I can assure you, it will work. Each miracle done by God in the scripture is always linked to an act of obedience.
Obedience is the proof that you trust God. His only pleasure is to be believed while his only sadness is to be doubted. May you walk in faith in Jesus name.
Prayer: I have received the faith of God that makes the impossible possible. Oh Lord, I pray that the communication or sharing of my faith may become effective by the acknowledgement of every good thing which is in me in Christ Jesus.
