Understanding Divine Timing
Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise, Which, having no captain, Overseer or ruler, Provides her supplies in the summer, And gathers her food in the harvest.- Proverbs 6:6-8
God's intention is to bring fulfillment to our lives. Wisdom is 80% accuracy in timing and 20% accuracy in decision making. No matter how you love to eat an apple fruit, you won't want to eat an unripe apple. Time is the currency of the world. God does everything on earth with a purpose. When you miss the time of God, life becomes miserable.
God wants you to invest everything he has given to you for your fulfillment on earth. Many times, laziness and wickedness hinder people from investing their potentials. This is the time of Zion, and as a member of the church of the first-born, it is your time of favour and when you look up to God, you became unconquerable. God desires us to walk by faith so that we can enjoy the blessing, that is why he gave us all the measure of faith at the new birth.
Time is so important that we must not waste it but invest it in living for the Lord. We must arise from slumber. Even the ant recognizes time by instinct. For instance, the problem of Gehazi is that he could not discern time. He ran after Namaan at a time when God's name was to be glorified, he brought the curse to himself and his children.
Beloved, we must choose to do the will of God. Jesus at the point of celebration wept over Jerusalem because they did not know the time of their visitation. They did not know the purpose of His coming. Jesus did miracles among them, yet, they ignored those evidence, living their own lives until Jesus passed away. Our attitude to time and purpose determines our allocation in life. This is because God made places before people. He made a location before allocation.
Prayer: Lord, teach me how to walk circumspectly in all of my dealings, redeeming lost time of the past in Jesus name.
