Be On The Lord’s Side
Then Saul said to Samuel, “I have sinned, for I have transgressed the commandment of the Lord and your words, because I feared the people and obeyed their voice.- 1 Samuel 15:24
The danger of exalting men above God is that when you fail, men will abandon you. Failure is an orphan when you however stay on the side of God, even if people leave you, God will ensure He surrounds you with good people. He knows how to touch the heart of people on your behalf. Beloved, there’s no vacuum in the spirit realm and God has wonderful plans for your life. This is not encouraging you to always be at logger head with others. No! I am rather encouraging you to promote the voice of God above the voice of the people.
An untested man may look innocent, but he is not reliable. God actually tested King Saul in 1 Samuel 13:5-14, but he proved to be unfaithful and unreliable. He was expected to wait for prophet Samuel to come and offer sacrifice, but God deliberately delayed the prophet till the last day to prove Saul’s patience and perseverance but King Saul couldn’t wait any longer for the Prophet and dabbled into an office that was not his own. He failed God because of circumstances and people’s opinion.
Only very few men can actually stand till the end during challenges. These men are truly God’s eagles. I pray you will be an eagle believer that is not dancing to the tune of the people.
Beloved of God, don’t be moved a bit by what people say or feel about you, but by the word of God which is the final authority. May you continually be on the Lord’s side regardless of people’s opinion about you, and may the God of heaven vindicate you in the long run in Jesus name.
Prayer: Dear Lord, I receive the boldness to remain permanently on the Lord’s side regardless of people’s opinion about me in Jesus name. Amen.
