Every Child of God has a right Standing with Him
For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.- Romans 5:17
Even when a believer fails, he is still a child of God. Beloved, you are God's righteousness in Christ. Righteousness is a gift and every believer has a right standing with God; as such, you should never feel unworthy. It is the blood of Jesus that makes you worthy.
We become righteous by believing unto righteousness and confessing with our mouths the Lordship of Jesus. Believers have right standing with God, not because of what we did, but because of what Jesus did for us in His plan of redemption. Righteousness is not associated with good works; good works and good conduct could never make you righteous. If good works can make us righteous, then the death of Jesus is in vain, God forbid! It is wrong to think a moralist is better than a believer who falls into sin. No one is powerful enough to wash himself off the guilt and consequence of sin except the blood of Jesus.
We can grow spiritually but righteousness is not something we can attain through works. We can't grow into righteousness; it is a gift from God. God made provision for all who believe in Jesus to have right standing before Him. In the Old Testament, the sins of the people were covered by the blood of animals but in the New Testament, our sins are cleansed; therefore, we have a better covenant. Thank God we are forever righteous.
Prayer: Righteousness is a gift and I thank the Lord for making us the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I receive the Spirit of boldness because the bolder I am the more it will work. I refuse to be terrified by the enemy because the righteous is as bold as a Lion. Nothing will intimidate me as from today because the greater one dwells in me.
