Get healed in your soul.
Is there no balm in Gilead, Is there no physician there? Why then is there no recovery for the health of the daughter of my people? - Jeremiah 8: 22
The greatest sickness is that of the soul: you must rid your soul of all these. Jesus Christ is your balm of Gilead, so get healed in your soul. Some are wounded and frustrated by the events of the past. They could have gone ahead to do other things, but they refuse to get healed. They are still dwelling on the stories of what happened to them many years ago when they should move forward. How long will you tell or dwell on the stories of your past? As long as you are in the same position, your enemy will make a mockery of you and say, “I know you will not succeed.” But you should keep on going. When the enemies see you ahead they will regret failing you.
You must get healed in your soul. He is the Lord, He is the healer, don't allow depression, suicide tendency to buffet your mind. Some today cannot be diagnosed by the doctor because it is a sickness of the soul. It is not because the devil is powerful but because they will not forget the past. They cannot jettison the past and move forward. Better days are ahead. The enemy of the better is the good. Whatever had happened in your past is in the grave. God can do in your future more than the enemy had done in your past, so get healed. I say get healed and get well (Psalm 147:3).
Is your heart broken? Have you been failed by people? Do you require restoration? God says I will restore health unto you (Jeremiah 30:17,33:6). This is God's plan for your life. Many times people see and talk about the end of Job.
And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before. - Job 42:10
God gave Job double, agreed. But what of his children who died? What of the memory of them? What of the memory of the loss that Job had? Thank God, Job was blessed, but what of the past? I could imagine Job's life when he recovered. Possibly, he would enter a room and looked for one of his sons and call the name……. Suddenly, it dawns on him that he is dead. He would look into another room and called one of his daughters, only to remember that she is dead too. If Job dwelt on this past, he would never do anything again. His life would have been moribund.
Prayer: Oh Lord, I apply your blood over my emotions, will and intellect and I break free from every bondage to my past. My past will no longer hold me captive, for I choose not to live in my past in Jesus Name. I can do all things by the grace of God and His grace is my sufficiency in Jesus Name.
