Daily Feast – June 30

Prosperity In Your Land

If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land - Isaiah 1: 19

When God calls you into His plan, He sets you up in the land. The land could be a village, a town, a state or even a nation. There is no land without a good portion. Also, there will be filthy and dirty areas too in the land usually referred to as slums. Eating the good of the land requires man’s willingness and obedience to God. God is ever willing to stretch the good of the land to those who are willing and obedient; you shall eat the good of the land. “Willingness is the wheel of obedience. To eat the good of the land means to partake of the goodies the Lord has allotted to a particular land, but you must first be willing; do your part; if you don’t plant corn seed and you want to eat corn, you must have the money to buy it or you steal it. Man’s Will often makes him to accomplish much.

Willingness makes man to put in more effort day after day so that even when things get tough, you continue because of your faith in what you believed. God does not force himself on anyone, you must be willing to trust and obey him, be ready to give your all to him. Are you willing to follow him to the end?

The second one is obedience. To obey is to do as ordered; it is being compliant. Many people are willing but when it comes to obedience they fail woefully. Abraham was told to leave his father’s household to a land he did not know. He left all and moved out in obedience to God’s instructions. Malachi 3: 10 say“bring all the tithes into the storehouse...” To obey means there is an instruction that is usually specific. You can only have the courage to obey if you trust the giver of the instruction. What instruction has God given to you personally? Do you find it difficult to obey? To be obedient takes trust and faith in the giver of the instruction. Obedience is an act of love on your part towards God.

Prayer: I’m willing and obedient, and I eat the good of the land in Jesus name, Amen.
