Demonstrating Great Faith for the Miraculous

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.- Hebrews 11:1

The book of Hebrew 11:6 states that, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. If you cannot do the ridiculous you will not get the miraculous. Mathew 8:5-10 tells of the centurion who came to Jesus beseeching Him. The humility demonstrated by the centurion by beseeching Jesus shows the trust and confidence he has for the anointed Jesus to heal his servant despite the fact that the servant was not where he met Jesus.

Psalm 107:20 states, “He sent his word, and healed them and delivered them from their destructions”. What makes great faith different from other types of faith is that a man with great faith has faith in the word of God more than the presence of men of God. A man with great faith understands authority, which is not limited by gender. No matter what your gender is, whether you are a male or female’ great faith understands how authority works and it is applied to Christian walk. While others may want to bother Jesus to follow them home, the centurion said he believed that the word in the mouth of Jesus is as powerful as His presence.

Great faith recognizes that there is no distance in the realm of the spirit. Wherever you are, God’s word is powerful enough to reach you. If the words which Jesus spoke could heal the servant of the centurion, then the Word will also work for you. If faith works in the Bible days, then it will work now, even in your life.

Prayer: Forever, O Lord, your word is settled in heaven and I believe your word is settled in my life in Jesus name
