Focus on God
You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You. - Isaiah 26:3
The primary focus of every believer should be not to lose his reward. There is a reward in view for every genuine child of God, both on earth and in heaven. Godliness brings profit for believers, now and in heaven. The reward can be lost but God wants us to guide whatever is ours jealously. It will be a sad thing for a believer to realise in heaven that he has missed best of God wants for him on earth, forgetting that silver and gold belong to God our Father. On the other hand, some believers are too focused on this world that they lose the sight of heaven.
There is no doubt that there will be some Christians in hell, not because Christ's blood is not powerful enough to deliver them, but because they broke their focus. While on earth, they pursued the gift, and not the Giver; they sought for reward, not God.
Brethren, how can you seek worldly things and lose focus of God? How can you start well in God and end badly? How do you think you can take decisions on your own without divine approval when God's hand is upon you? Sister, how do you decide to live as if God is dead, because of the present negative situation? Brother, how do you pursue success at the expense of the One who saved your soul from eternal damnation? How can you allow life challenges overwhelm you as to hinder you from going further in God? Beloved, God should be our main focus. Don't worship success at the expense of spiritual matters. Not every gain is godliness, but every godliness is gain
As long as we remain focused on the kingdom of God, i.e. God’s way of doing things, we are guaranteed to benefit from his reward system here on earth and finally in heaven.
Prayer: Lord I receive the grace to remain focus in You no matter the challenges that come my way in Jesus name.
