Living a life of Sacrifice.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. - Romans 12:1

This is delayed gratification. Learn to defer your comfort till later. Sacrifice is not easy, it is painful. Don’t give to your body all it is craving for. The true price of the olive oil can only be known from the olive tree that was beaten, pressed until oil is released. The olive oil releases oil for the lamp to continuously burn because of the beating it has gone through. The beating is the sacrifice and pain. Don't yield your body to everything your eyes see. Never yield to all your eyes desire. Some are indebted today because they can't deny themselves of certain things they desire, things they may not even need and things they cannot afford. The sacrifice of being a mother can only be known from a woman whose children are already adults and are successful in their different endeavors.

Don't give your feeling every urge it calls for. Samson fell, though he had the anointing. May you not fail in Jesus Name. People living holy are not super men, they only speak to their body, 'Body, you are dead so you can't make me fail God. I've gone too far to miss God'.

Joseph disciplined himself. He must have said 'Mrs. Potiphar, you may be my master's wife but you are too small to stop me from getting to where I'm going. If I yield to your advances, the highest I can be is to be your husband, but I have a dream. My dream is that my brothers will, one day, bow down to me. I won't allow 5 minutes enjoyment make me lose it all'.

Learn to walk away from every appearance of evil, don't give yourself to it. Don't indulge yourself in pornography, it is the cause of rape all over the world. In the so-called civilized countries, there is pollution because children are exposed to wrong things. Parents expose their children to the internet without any control, thinking it is civilization; damaging the future of their children because of excess liberty giving to them. The destinies of those children are damaged, no matter their intelligence and smartness.

Just like Apostle Paul, you should learn to bring your body under. The fact that others are doing what is evil does not mean you should join them. Live a life of sacrifice. If you continue doing wrong things, you will be enslaved by your carnal craving. So, don't give your body everything it craves for. May today be the least level you will ever be in Jesus Name.
