Any Hunger? (2)
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. - Mathew 5:6
We discussed yesterday that God is not only able to do what we ask of Him; He is also willing to do what we ask of Him as much as we desire but you must be hungry to receive from Him. Today’s devotional will continue from where we stopped.
In Luke 5:24, Jesus was there to preach, and the power of God was present to heal, yet only one paralysed man was healed. Others went back home with their infirmities. The room where Jesus stayed was filled with people. Even the paralysed man was brought in through the roof, to show how desperate he and his friends were to get him healed. How can Jesus be present in the church programme with His healing power yet, you go home with the same sickness you came with? How can you have a God that is generous in power and yet, you go home empty? How can God bless unbelievers and not bless you?
Always keep this in mind that we are mostly surrounded by people who have lost their spiritual appetite through discouragement, because of what they go through and because of the cares and worries of life. Many have even lost their hunger for a change because they are satisfied; they feel they have attained the highest height. No, there is still a better place, a new level and new way out. Are you hungry for a change?
Prayer: God always will meet us at the level of expectation. I raise my level of expectation from today to receive in Jesus Name. Amen!
