Acting On God’s Word

Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well... And He looked around to see her who had done this thing. But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth. And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.” - Mark 5:25-34

We have the account of the woman with the issue of blood recorded in Mark 5:25-34. According to historical record, this woman’s disease was incurable. Though she spent all her earnings, the sickness instead of getting better, grew worse. The sickness was about to terminate her life when she heard about Jesus. Not minding how frail and feeble she was, she did the possible; she came in the press to touch the cloth of Jesus. Though others viewed or called her case incurable, she never called it incurable.

Beloved, it is what you call your case that really matters, and not what people call it. If you call your case impossible, then it became impossible with God. God is waiting for you to show Him how much you believe in Him; how much you trust in His promises. God will not do the impossible until you do the possible. For instance, in the case of Lazarus, the possible was for the people to roll away the stone, while the impossible with man was what Jesus was left to do.

I’m charging you today, what are the possible things you are supposed to do; what is God waiting for that you have not done yet? It may be the reason for the delay in the manifestation of what he planned for you.  Perhaps, you might have been indolent for too long. May be, you have been waiting for God to do his own part first. So arise and begin to do what you can to give action to your faith, and you will see God do the impossible for you. The woman in this story confessed what she believed, “if only I can touch His cloth, I shall be made well”. And just as she believed, she touched and gets her miracle.

There are apparently four keys to her miracles

1. She said it
2. She did it
3. She received it
4. She told it

Prayer: I put on the switch of faith by God’s grace and receive what grace has made available unto me in Jesus Name.
