Sin of Unbelief
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.- John 1:12-14
Paraphrasing the scripture in John 16:8-19 the third conviction of the Holy Spirit through the word is that: “And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgement: Of sin, because they believe not on me”. This is talking about the sin of unbelief and that is the only sin of which the sinner will be judged and cast into Hell. You know God did not make hell primarily for the children of men.
There is no reason for anyone to go to hell if they will accept the offer of God by receiving Jesus as Lord and Saviour. I do not say as saviour alone but as Lord or Master of his life.
It is as simple as that? Yes! There is no need for making complex what God has made very simple. In the first leadership conference of the early Church, Peter speaking about the conversion of the Gentiles, stated Acts 15:8-11. Isaiah also prophesied about this (Isaiah 55:1-2).
Receiving Jesus as Lord and personal saviour is equal to eating what is good. He is the Eternal Life and Eternal Bread. He satisfied the spiritual thirst and hunger of every desperate and cursed soul.
The adulterous but spiritually hungry woman of Sychar encounters our Lord Jesus near Jacob’s well where she came to draw water. In many words Jesus spoke to her:
She has been drinking from the fountain of promiscuity but now Jesus told her she needed to quench her thirst by drinking from the fountain of life.
When we give our lives to Christ by accepting Him to our heart (spirit) as Lord and saviour, satanic and fallen nature go out and the Eternal life of God comes in making us a new creation. Your past has ceased to exist. The lordship of Christ over every area of your life makes the Christian life a blessed reality. The dominion of the devil ceases as we become partakers of this blessed inheritance.
Prayer: In the name of Jesus, I declare and decree this day that I will operate according to God’s divine will and that God’s agenda is my agenda. I am not my own and have been bought with a price of his precious blood.
