Daily Feast – December 3

Reward for Godliness

And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.- Galatians 6:9

Godliness ensures divine protection! That simply means God will see you through! Godliness ensures protection. As a husband is responsible for protecting his wife, so also is Jesus committed to protecting believers. As a man protects his body from harm, so also does Christ protect His bride (the Church) from harm. You are not likely to enjoy life to the fullest if you as a believer is still worried about the future. The word of God assures us that Jesus is the vine and we are the branches; all the nutrients the branch needs is supplied by the vine.

Godliness brings promotion. Promotion does not come from the East, West or South but from God. Examples abound of unlikely men who God has promoted in the past. A typical example is Daniel; he was a slave who lived for the Lord and the Lord made him ten times wiser than his colleagues. At a time, he found himself in the lion's den out of the conspiracy of the enemies, but the Lord shut the mouth of the lion and gave Daniel escape. On the long run, his enemies lost their lives while Daniel was promoted. Don't let anybody deceive you that following God does not pay.

Don't walk away on God because you feel insulted or offended in the church. Even when people frustrate you while you are serving the Lord, stay strong in faith and don't let the inadequacies of men determine your attitude. And our God is not unjust, your reward is coming so there is no need to faint. Don't envy those who seem to be doing it the ungodly way yet it looks as if they are getting results. When God's hand takes you to where you are going, you will outrun them and leave them behind. This is why you need to encourage yourself.

Prayer: Lord I pray for your wisdom to daily live a life that pleases you in Jesus Christ Name
