Understanding The Law Of Timing

Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise: “For yet a little while, And He who is coming will come and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.” But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul. - Hebrews 10:35-39

Many times we are in a hurry; we often want things to happen almost instantly. The God of heaven and earth did not finish the work of creation in seconds Gen. 1 v 26. God declared ‘Let there be’, several times. If I were God, I would have finished creating all things just in a day. But he did not do that, but rather He created them for six days, and each day, He learned to rejoice even when he had not finished. Many times, people don’t rejoice because they think there is no reason to do so- they are too high-minded.

You must learn to rejoice in the process of God making you. While many want instant miracles, God is more interested in making you. He is more of a maker than He is a Giver. God wants you to be under supervision to learn of Him so that you can keep whatever He gives you. There is really no security outside of God. So love him, no matter how much he lifts you. Jesus always waited for the marching order of the Father whose Will he came to do through total surrender. When we don’t understand purpose, we are frustrated to think that God is too late. And what the enemy does at such times is to put us under pressure to take wrong steps. Many often muddle up God’s plan because they have not waited sufficiently enough. Sadly, there are people that have acted today when actually God promised to visit them tomorrow.

Many have missed the best of God for them because they were not patient enough. If you believe in God, you won’t be in haste. (He that believeth shall not make haste. Isaiah 208:16b) Therefore, learn to appreciate God in the process of making you. Why did Jesus have to wait for another two days after he was told that a very good friend of his was dying? It is because that the glory of raising a dead Lazarus would be more than just healing a sick Lazarus. So, Jesus waited for the appropriate time.

Prayer: I receive the requisite patient to wait for the timing of God for my life father; I will not muddle up your plan through impatience in Jesus name, Amen.
