Daily Feast – February 22

Building Your Confidence In God

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” - Genesis 18: 19

God wants you to develop confidence in him. What is confidence? It is faith! The more confidence you have in God, the clearer His dealings with you become.  Paul, the apostle, became so confident that nothing on earth was powerful enough to separate him from the love of God. Such confidence is borne out of a deep persuasion in God who made all things. So you can also come to that place of unwavering confidence in the God of heaven who does not change. As men, we do change, but not God. God never changes. He is the ancient of days; an unchanging God in a changing world. You must rely on God and build your confidence in your mind to know him to a level of persuasion that absolute nothing; not even the evil antics and gimmicks from the pit of hell will be able to separate you from the father’s love.

Instinctively, we have confidence as men in people and in things that can fail. In fact, you can’t successfully work in the society without having confidence in people to a certain level but trusting them above their level is to put yourself in trouble.

Trust is not what you claim. You should not trust people until they earn it. There should be no trust if there is no test.

Beloved, let your confidence be more in God than in man. If your absolute confidence is in God, He will defend you with His strength. You cannot totally rely on men because they can change. When men begin to hate you, they can suddenly change their minds about you tomorrow. Men, by nature are very inconsistent and unreliable, but beloved; we have an unchanging God in a changing world. So, you can have absolute confidence in this God. He is so reliable and trustworthy.

Prayer: Oh Father, I thank you for the validity of your word. Help me o Lord as I walk the walk of faith on earth having been persuaded that you are all the word says you are in Jesus Name.
