The Growing Life Of A Child

That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; That our daughters may be as pillars, Sculptured in palace style; - Psalm 144: 12

The development of the children lies on the parents who brought them into the world. As parents, you have to know that the world your children are in is full of challenges. At every stage in life, children encounter series of problems which in most cases are the causes for sexual abuse and all manners of misconducts in the society. Children are exuberant and always want to achieve their goals, but where their needs are not met, they turned to be violent.

Parents are not to give up at any level of child discipline rather; we are to intensify efforts on them until Christ is formed in them. However, through positive measure of correction, children are delivered from being negatively influenced and thereby becoming godly as they are exposed to the thorough teaching of God’s word.
In the last days, the only true weapon that will do a major constructive work in the life of these young ones is God’s word. Any other means will produce a feeble and rebellious nation. Evil knowledge opens children to evil (Gen. 3:4-5).

Children live by what they know and that is the reason parents have to play their roles effectively and see that their children behave Godly. From generation to generation the level of wickedness is becoming outrageous. No human law can stop it but you, by disallowing your youth (children) from going the wrong way. Psalm 1:1-6.

3 Important Things That Are Undeniable In Adolescent Growth

I. Hormonal Change     II.  Cognitive Stage       III.     Identity Formation

Samuel: Samuel was a young man who feared God right from his youthful age, even when the heart of men was not open to revelation. 1 Samuel 3:1, 3:19-21.

Jeremiah: He was called right from the womb and was obedient even when he ought to have departed from the will of God. He stayed with his maker and spent his youthful day knowing God. Jeremiah 1: 5-7.

David: He knew God from his youth and went on to do great exploit for the kingdom of God. He walked with God and feared Him throughout his life.

Daniel: He loved, trusted and worshiped God throughout his life. He found favor with God and man. He was delivered from the mouth of the lion because he would not defile himself with the things of the world.

Prayer: Father, I will cherish wholeheartedly, the sacredness of my youth, and use it to the glory and honour of your name in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
