Receiving Healing Through The Word Of God

He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions. -Psalms 107:20

One significant pattern in the ministry of Jesus is that he did not heal people until they first heard him. Teaching and preaching the word always preceded healing as a biblical pattern. His healing was a confirmation of the gospel he preached and taught (Luke 5:15 and Mathew 9:35). It is remarkable that out of the nineteen cases of healings recorded in the gospel during the earthly ministry of Jesus, only seven were initiated through the prophetic grace. This is when the Holy Spirit inspired Him. The other twelve involve an individual who either got inspired because they heard him, themselves or somebody close to them heard Jesus and was filled with faith to believe Him for their healings. It is perhaps not frivolous that more people were healed because they put their faith in his healing anointing because of the preaching and teaching of the word of God. (Romans 10:17).

It may interest you to know that this is still operating today. You may read the word of God or listen to a sermon and be inspired to receive your healing for any illness. The word of God energizes/ builds your faith to receiving the extraordinary from God.  This process follows the biblical pattern.

Those individuals, who heard Jesus and got their healings, desired to be healed and exercised their faith by believing His words. They took Jesus for His word and get outstanding results. True faith can only be activated by the word of God. Until the word is put into action, faith cannot be exercised to benefit the sick. Faith exercised on the basis of the word of God cannot fail. Never!
