Daily Feast – January 16

Recognizing Divine Opportunity For Miracles

When He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come and see.” So I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine.”-Revelations 6:5-6

As long as we are card-carrying members of the universe, we have need of miracles. There are always things that challenge our faith. The pressure of life is intended to either break us or make us. There is nothing that is happening to us in the world without God’s knowledge.

Preceding the rapture of the church to meet Jesus in the air is a worldwide economic recession according to the text in Revelation 6. Many Bible scholars believe we are in the regime of the black horse whereby there will be economic shakings. This is God’s prophetic agenda for these last days which is being fulfilled before our very eyes.

However, the only thing that will be protected from this global recession is the ‘Wine’ and the ‘Oil’. Oil is a symbol of the anointing and wine stands for the fullness of the Holy Spirit.

The carrier of the oil or anointing and the accurate leading or direction of the Holy Spirit will be the guarantee for economic safety at this hour.

We must learn how to be led by the Spirit and walk in wisdom from the numerous snares in the world into the prepared blessings of the Lord. We would be opened to divine opportunities that God has planned for us these times as we pay attention to the signals of the Holy Spirit.

Prayer: Dear father, give me the wisdom to discern with accuracy the times that we are in and help me to follow your program for my life in Jesus name, Amen
