Daily Feast – January 18

Regaining Lost Privileges

Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned— (For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come. But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many. -Romans 5:12-15

The fall of Adam and Eve jeopardized the eternal destiny of the human race and sold mankind to the dominion of Satan. But the eternal agenda of God cannot change since He is an unchanging God in a fast-changing World. Satan assumed that he had finished the damage through the temptation and fall of Adam and Eve. God is unchanging in his purpose, and He watches over his words to perform them (Ps. 138:2).

With the fall of the first Family, God drove them out of the Garden to protect them for the misery that would follow if they should eat from the tree of life. Devil knows that opposing and attacking man being the image and object of the love God will also be an attack against God. The devil therefore uses its strategy of stealing, killing, and destroying through various means all through the ages. Satan became the god of this age and the prince of the power of the air. He is today the rebel holder of man’s authority on earth. God shed blood of an animal to cover Adam and Eve and to show man that he would need an innocent blood as substitute to acceptably relate with man in his fallen state.

The perfect work of man’s redemption was consummated by the perfect blood of JESUS who became Sin for us in unlimited form. We did not only regain what we lost in Adam but man in Christ is lifted to the position of Elohim as we are seated with him in heavenly places far above principalities and power

Prayer: Thank you my God for sending my Lord and Saviour to the world to perfect the work of redemption. I am saved and totally free from the works of Satan and its dominion in Jesus Name. Amen.
