Daily Feast – January 6

God’s Abiding Presence

Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” 6 So we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” -Hebrews 3:5-6

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. - Isaiah 43:2

As a believer, one thing you should be sure of is the abiding presence of our God. “I will never leave you nor forsake you”. To unlock your divine potentials, you must always be conscious of God’s abiding presence in your day-to-day activities. “My presence will always go with you”. On a daily basis, let the word of God be more real to you than the situations in the world. There may be darkness in the world; situations may look as if God has left you or as if you are alone in that situation, the ever-conquering word of God is always available for every child of God no matter the prevalence of darkness on earth. Always check what the word of God says. Beloved, his abiding presence is ever sure. Always be conscious of His divine presence with you. You can count on it and hold unto it. God never lies, He said it and He meant it.

Reading about the evil occurrence in the world should not make you assume all hope is gone. Don’t think good things can no longer happen. God can make things work positively for you because God is still in the business of working. “For All things work together for your good” Amen.

Prayer: I praise you Lord because your presence is with me and all over me all the time. I’m not moved by what I see; I’m only moved by the word of God. Thank you, Lord Amen.
