Secrets of Lasting Favour

He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel..- Psalm 103:7

Beloved, When you know the heart of a man, you find favour with the man. Moses prayed a prayer for God to show him his ways. He wanted to know how God responded to issues, he wanted to know how to please God. Also in the life of Esther, she allowed the chamberlains to pick what she would wear to appear before the king just because the chamberlain knows the heart of the king and by doing that, Esther was chosen. Therefore, When you know the heart of a man, you find favour with the man and this comes out of intimacy and acquaintance. Simply put, You can never use God's silence and benevolence to determine his mood. You must know his ways.

Regarding the book of Exodus chapter seventeen, the Amalek attacked Israel, yet God kept silent. But years later, he sent Samuel to Saul to avenge Amalek.  God continued to supply the children of Israel with manna in the wilderness despite their disobedience and rebellion. This is because he did not want their children to become hardened to him by seeing him as an inconsiderate God.

My brethren in Christ, to enjoy God’s lasting favour we must know His ways. Just like Moses, he had enjoyed God's favour before and that was why he could go to the mountain and receive the law. This is the same mountain that an animal dies if it dares come near it.

To understand God fully means you must know His ways. Some have enjoyed favour before but they are no longer enjoying the favour of God because doors have become closed to them. For Moses, he did not want the favour he enjoys from God to expire or end because he knows that God's favour makes you an exception. Favour made him stand out in the midst of a three million wilderness church that he led out of Egypt. Paul too prayed this same prayer. To enjoy the favour of God is to pray to know His ways.

Prayer: : Heavenly Father, I thank you for making me a joint heir together with Christ, thank you for bestowing such a great favour on me. I ask today, that you take me into deeper knowledge and revelation of your ways and workings in Jesus might name.
