Daily Feast – June 19

Understanding The Grace Of God

John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.’ ”And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. - John 1:15-17

Grace,” which means “unmerited favour” is God’s kindness that is shown to people. We are saved by God’s grace. Grace is love coming at you that has nothing to do with you but has everything to do with God.

From the scripture above, Paul tells us about the mystery of His grace. The devil is not in control, for whatever God allows is allowed on earth and so whatever we the children of God allow is also allowed. Difficulties and challenges of life can become a place of character and strength building in your life. There is grace for every trouble. May you tap into all the fullness of his grace in Jesus Name.

In 2 Corinthians 1:8-10, Paul talked of facing untold pressure. I don’t know the pressure you are facing now; it is to release the greatest potential in your life. If there is no pressure there is no enlargement. God is not the author of pressure but God will use the devil’s pressure to enlarge your coast. In the face of the challenges/pressure, count on the grace of God.

The Bible in 2 Corinthians 12:9 says “…. My grace is sufficient for thee for my strength is made perfect in weakness….”

Verse 10. Therefore, I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproach, in necessities, in reproaches in distress for Christ sake: for when I am weak, then I am strong.

Count on grace, don’t allow frustration and despair because His grace has appeared unto us in the person of our Lord and Savior, Jesus.

Prayer: : Father, I receive grace unto all areas of my life. Your grace is sufficient for me in Jesus’ Name.
