Daily Feast – March 18

Right Location

There was a famine in the land, besides the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Philistines, in Gerar. Then the Lord appeared to him and said: “Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land of which I shall tell you. Dwell in this land, and I will be with you and bless you; for to you and your descendants I give all these lands, and I will perform the oath which I swore to Abraham your father. And I will make your descendants multiply as the stars of heaven; I will give to your descendants all these lands; and in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed;- Genesis 26:1-4

The issue of your life is not where you are but whether you are where God has placed you. Some people keep trying different things until they get old not achieving anything in life. Beloved, do not think God is hiding you where you are; wherever God places you is your place of divine allocation.

God will always use anything/ anybody to bless you once you are in the centre of God's will. There is a 'there' to your feeding. The way God commanded the raven to feed Elijah is the same way God told Isaac not to leave the town of Gerar in the time of famine. Isaac obeyed God and in the same year, God increased and blessed Isaac until he was envied.

God made location before He made people. God had already created the river before creating fishes; He did not make fish before making the river. There is an allocation in your divine location; when a man misses his place of location, he will surely miss the divine allocation that should come to him. The reason for the suffering of Isaac and Jacob was because they didn't understand they need to stay where God has placed them. He did not know he must stay close to the blessing of God before he could enjoy it.

The man Abraham looked at the land of Canaan and felt he could not allow his son, Isaac to marry from the women of the land because they were unbelievers. Abraham sent one of his servants to his own kindred to get a wife for Isaac. Abraham did not want Isaac to terminate the blessing of God in his generation through wrong marriage. Abraham did not want his son to go back to where he left (see Genesis 24:4-6).

Despite the godly heritage Isaac had, he did not understand certain spiritual principles. Jacob snatched the blessing of Esau through trick, yet, the blessing remained permanent. So, when there was strife between the two brothers, Jacob went to the land where Abraham commanded Eliezer not to allow Isaac to go.

And Isaac called Jacob, and blessed him, and charged him, and said unto him, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan. Arise, go to Padanaram, to the house of Bethuel thy mother's father; and take thee a wife from thence of the daughters of Laban thy mother's brother…. And Isaac sent away Jacob: and he went to Padanaram unto Laban, son of Bethuel the Syrian, the brother of Rebekah, Jacob's and Esau's mother. -Genesis 28:1-2, 5

All the years of Jacob's sojourn there became years of struggle for him; because he went away from the place of blessing. Your blessing will only find you in your place of divine location. Running around is curse. When God cursed Cain for killing Abel, God said Cain would be a wanderer. When God asked the devil in the book of Job where he was, Satan answered and said he was walking to and fro. Walking to and fro is the ministry of the devil and in his kingdom, there is no safe place to stay but in God's kingdom.

Prayer: Lord, lead me to my place of divine location where my blessing and allocation is, I receive the grace to remain in the place you have placed me in Jesus name.
