Daily Feast – May 26

His Grace Is Sufficient For You

And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.- 2 Corinthians. 12:9

As a believer, you must run from danger and death but be prepared to endure suffering if it is God's will. Paul in the book of Act 9:29-30 ran from danger on two different occasions. Paul was touched by the concerns of other believers. For his safety, he remained convinced that it was God's will for him to go, and he wouldn't change his plans because he wanted to stay out of danger.

Beloved, don't be deceived, there are roads that God will not deliver you from. Don't always look for what is cheap and easy; seek to follow God's plan for your life. The challenges you are facing today are mere afflictions compared with the glorious future ahead of you.

But for our light affliction, which is for a moment, worketh for us far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. - 2 Corinthians 4:17

If Paul had refused to go to Jerusalem because of the suffering which was ahead of him there, that would not have meant he was no bigger Paul the Apostle; but it would have made him lose out of the best God had for him. God is a good God, and if you can trust Him with your life, you can never go unrewarded. Paul witnessed several beatings, persecutions, imprisonments, but in all these, his faith in what he believed was never shaken. He totally and completely relied on the grace of God in his trying times.

No matter what come across your way, God's grace is sufficient for you always. May you not go back on your commitment; but may you follow God through in Jesus Name. The good news of it is that at the end of it all, Paul finished well.

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing. - 2 Timothy 4:7-8

Beloved, may you also finish your race well and strong in Jesus Name.

Prayer: Father, uphold me with your right hand of righteousness and help me to finish my race well and strong in Jesus Name. Amen
