Daily Feast – May 3

There is a faith in your giving

By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks.- Hebrews 11:4

Giving to God should be borne out of our honour and love for Him. If you honour God, you will not give Him your leftover or what is worthless (Malachi 1:6-8). There is faith in your giving. Faith is what you do with the offering plate. Whatever you give to God shows the level of your faith. If you actually have faith in God, you will make Him a priority. Do not assume that faith can only be used when you want to claim healing from God. It takes faith to give; it doesn’t take as much faith to receive as the faith to give. It is not how much you give that really matter but how well you give. Excellent and sacrificial giving to God makes your faith to speak always before the throne of God. Faith speaks because it has a voice (Hebrews 11:4).

When a person does not like to give, it shows he does not have faith. Your commitment and love to God is always demonstrated when you will never consider anything too much to give Him. If you have faith that God can give you abundant return for whatever you give Him, you will give Him without any reservation. As a believer, we must give to God in our different churches. Givers believe that their labour of love is never in vain. Giving to God is not only in the area of finance; you can be committed to cleaning up the church environment, including the toilets, not minding your status or position you occupy in your place of work.

Prayer: Father, I receive the grace to render to you acceptable and reasonable service in my life in Jesus name.
