Don’t Be Discouraged Of Sowing

But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. As it is written:  “He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever.” - 2 Corinthians 9:6-9

One of the signs of the last days is that men will become very selfish; all they will be thinking of is ‘I’, ‘me’ ,‘myself’. But a believer must not allow the spirit of the last days to come on him. No wonder, people now post various things on social media to discourage the feeble-minded on tithing and giving to God. Beloved, if you are not obedient in the area of giving, something you cannot handle will surely creep up as a devourer.

The Bible says the liberal soul shall be made fat (Prov.11:25) so if you refuse to water anybody, you are not likely to get anybody to water you. Life itself is about giving and receiving. Plants give oxygen and they take in carbon dioxide; that is how God made all things. Even though we realize that the world is not our final abode, we still labour in God because we trust God that a reward is coming. Do not allow anybody to discourage you from sowing. You cannot plant mango and expect to reap oranges, you will surely reap whatever you sow. Galatians  6:7 states, “Be not deceived, God is not mocked; for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Do not wait until you are wealthy before you start giving, No, you can give to God at the level you are. Faith is the largeness of your heart at whatever your present level is.

Prayer: O God, thank you for giving me seed to sow and bread to eat. You are able to make all grace abound towards me; that I, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every work in Jesus Name.
