Reward for Your Labour
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing- 2 Timothy 4:7-8
In the book of Revelation chapter 19 verses 7 did not say someone will make the bride ready; the bride has the responsibility of making herself ready for the coming lamb.
The reason why many do not like to hear about the second coming of Jesus is that it will hold them accountable. The fear of giving an account of their lives to God makes them want to deny the knowledge of His second coming. But as hundreds of soldiers could not stop Jesus from resurrecting, so also no human opinion, denial or conspiracy will be able to stop Him from coming back for His saints. And when He comes, the Lion of the tribe of Judah will rule and establish His everlasting dominion here on earth.
One day and very soon brethren, our works here on earth shall be rewarded. Every born-again child of God shall be rewarded but our rewards shall not be the same. Our rewards will be based on how faithful we have been in doing what He asks us to do; He will reward our labour of love, He will reward our faith life, our perseverance and commitment to His will. What will matter that day will not be based on your earthly possession, what will matter will be how you have lived for the Lord.
Thank God for whatever God has blessed us with on earth: the cars, houses and material possessions, but they are not the real reward. Our earthly blessings are only to encourage us and to make it easier for us to serve God; our real reward will soon come when the Son of man appears. Men can fail you, but true reward only comes from God. Men can award you but God rewards you.
Prayer: My works on earth will fetch me good rewards in Jesus name
