Daily Feast – October 26

Be a cheerful giver

Those who sow in tears    shall reap with shouts of joy! He who goes out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of joy, bringing his sheaves with him. - Psalm 126:5-6

A farmer going to the farm early in the morning may not look cheerful but he goes all the same because he knows that harvest time will soon come. The day of rejoicing always come to every giver. God has promised to reward every giver and He is not a man that should lie. There may be sorrow in the night but joy comes in the morning.

Jesus died shedding His blood for you, He didn't shed some; he shed all for you. If He shed all for you, equity demands that you belong to Him and live for Him. A sacrifice does not complain to the one that wants to use it. If you are bought by the blood of Jesus, God should use you. May you yield yourself to God and be a giver. You don't need to have much to be a giver, all you need is a large heart.

God has a book called 'book of remembrance'. The word 'God remember you' occurs 73 times in the Bible. If it occurs that often, you can be sure God will reward a giver. And when reward comes, people will be surprised. Sometimes, it is painful to obey God, painful to give out what you have but you give it all the same because you belong to a kingdom where God is the King. Giving is a choice and not by force.

The plant decides to give oxygen to receive carbon dioxide. God made it that way to teach us that you won't get what you need until you release what you have. Nothing else will gain access to your hands if you clench your fist. If you remain tight-fisted, things around you will be tight. May nothing be tight around you in Jesus name (Galatians 6:7).

Never be tired of giving. Remember, the cloud does not turn to rain until the sky is filled up with vapour. Give continuously and wait patiently until your cloud turns to rain. In a short time, God will reward you because God is not forgetful, He cannot forget your labor of love. Your giving proves your sincerity to God. It is a grace to give and to release what you have. A man that professes to love you without giving you should be doubted; love always gives. You can give without loving, but you can't love without giving. God the Father loves us so He gave us His Son (John 3:16). God is a giver because God loves us. It is my prayer you will love Him also.

Your heart is the spiritual womb which receives the seed of God's word so expose your heart to godly ideas...let the seed grow. Don't abort divine process, yield yourself to God. God cannot forget your giving. May the rain of God's blessing come upon you and your family. Dry days will be over in your life so prepare for open doors

Prayer: May nothing be tight around me in Jesus Name. May the Lord honour all my seed and give abundant harvest as return in Jesus Name.
