DAY 2 AM : 10 Benefits of Walking in God’s Favour – Rev Francis Falola

When you walk in divine favor, you experience supernatural backing that overrides human limitations and turns every battle into a victory.

1. Supernatural Increase and Promotion
Walking in God’s favor brings supernatural increase and promotion even in the most adverse conditions. Just as Joseph was sold into slavery and falsely accused in prison, God was with him, gave him favor with the keeper of the prison, and eventually made him the prime minister of the land as written in Genesis 39:21 to 23.

But the Lord was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.” — Genesis 39:21

2. Restoration of Everything the Enemy Stole
Divine favor brings complete restoration of everything stolen by the enemy. After 430 years of unpaid labor in captivity, God declared in Exodus 3:21 to 22 that the children of Israel would not leave Egypt empty handed, causing them to plunder the Egyptians and receive all their lost wages.

And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty.” — Exodus 3:21

3. Honor in the Midst of Adversaries
God gives His favored children honor right in front of those who oppose them. During the 3 days of thick darkness over Egypt, the children of Israel had light in their dwellings, and as recorded in Exodus 11:3, God gave the people favor and made Moses very great in the sight of Pharaoh’s servants and the land.

And the Lord gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh’s servants, and in the sight of the people.” — Exodus 11:3

4. Increase in Assets, Lands, and Real Estate
Favor grants you access to landed properties, houses, and assets that you did not work or labor for. In Joshua 1:3 and Joshua 24:11 to 13, God drove out seven giant nations before Israel and gave them a land for which they did not labor, cities they did not build, and vineyards they did not plant.

And I have given you a land for which ye did not labour, and cities which ye built not, and ye dwell in them; of the vineyards and oliveyards which ye planted not do ye eat.” — Joshua 24:13

5. Great Victories in the Midst of Great Odds
Having God’s favor guarantees victory over massive armies and overwhelming situations. In Joshua 11:8 and verse 20, the Lord delivered the heathen armies into the hands of Israel to be destroyed because those enemies had no favor, showing that lack of favor leads to destruction while God’s favor preserves and grants victory.

“For it was of the Lord to harden their hearts, that they should come against Israel in battle, that he might destroy them utterly, and that they might have no favour, but that he might destroy them, as the Lord commanded Moses.” — Joshua 11:20

6. Preferential Treatment
God’s favor singles you out above others, making your failures turn into success and placing you in positions of honor. As recorded in Esther 2:15 and verse 17, Esther obtained grace and favor in the sight of the king and all who looked upon her, causing her to be crowned queen above all the other virgins.

“And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.” — Esther 2:17

7. Petitions Granted by Ungodly Authorities
When you walk in divine favor, even ungodly civil authorities and worldly leaders grant your requests. When Esther went before the king at the banquet of wine to save her people, Esther 5:6 reveals that the king offered to grant her petition and request up to half of his kingdom.

And the king said unto Esther at the banquet of wine, What is thy petition? and it shall be granted thee: and what is thy request? even to the half of the kingdom it shall be performed.” — Esther 5:6

8. Reversal of Unfavorable Policies, Rules, and Laws
Divine favor changes, reverses, and rewrites evil laws, decrees, and policies to your advantage. In Esther 8:4 to 8, the king extended the golden scepter to Esther, reversed Haman’s decree of death, hanged Haman on his own gallows, and authorized Esther and Mordecai to write a new unchangeable decree with the king’s signet ring.

Write ye also for the Jews, as it liketh you, in the king’s name, and seal it with the king’s ring: for the writing which is written in the king’s name, and sealed with the king’s ring, may no man reverse.” — Esther 8:8

9. Joy, Gladness, and Influence Over Associates
Favor brings widespread joy and causes non believers to respect you and align with God’s people. According to Esther 8:17, wherever the king’s new decree arrived, the Jews had joy, gladness, a feast, and a holiday, and many people of the land became Jews because the fear of the Jews fell upon them.

And in every province, and in every city, whithersoever the king’s commandment and his decree came, the Jews had joy and gladness, a feast and a good day. And many of the people of the land became Jews; for the fear of the Jews fell upon them.” — Esther 8:17

10. God Fights Your Battles For You
When divine favor is on your life, God steps in to fight your battles while you stand bold in your positive confession. When David faced Goliath in 1 Samuel 17:45 to 47, he declared that he came in the name of the Lord of hosts, and God sent His angels to push the giant forward to the ground, proving that the battle belongs to the Lord.

Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.” — 1 Samuel 17:45

CALL TO ACTION

  • Daily Confession of Favor: Speak and declare God’s favor over your life, career, and family every single day because what you confess is what you possess.
  • Stand Boldly in the Face of Threats: Refuse to let the enemy or difficult circumstances intimidate you; make radical positive confessions of God’s Word in the face of every challenge.
  • Depend on the Lord of Hosts: Hand over your battles to God in prayer, trusting Him to fight for you and provide resources beyond your natural financial capacity.

Questions for Meditation and Pondering

  1. In what areas of my life am I relying on my own natural strength instead of trusting God for His supernatural favor?
  2. What radical, positive confessions do I need to begin speaking daily over my family, health, and current circumstances?
  3. How can I yield my battles to the Lord of hosts and allow His divine favor to reverse negative situations in my life?
