Lacking understanding makes a believer an easy prey for the devil, because as Proverbs chapter 21 verse 16 and Isaiah chapter 5 verse 13 state, wandering from understanding leaves a person in captivity among the dead. Hearing God’s word is not enough; believers must gain precise knowledge of the truth in John chapter 17 verse 17 to walk in the reality of an accomplished redemption.

2. The Dispensation and Riches of Grace
Grace is the unmerited favor and spiritual blessing brought by Jesus according to John chapter 1 verse 17, representing the highest manifestation of God’s favor given at the expense of Christ’s life. As stated in Romans chapter 6 verse 14 and Romans chapter 5 verses 1 to 2, believers stand under grace, which is accessed strictly by faith through the word of God.

Redemption is a tangible spiritual substance that delivers believers from darkness and requires no further begging, but rather present possession and active application.

5. Implications of Being Redeemed to God
Through the blood of Jesus, believers were purchased from the slave market of the devil to become God’s permanent property according to Revelation chapter 5 verses 9 to 10 and 1 Corinthians chapter 6 verses 19 to 20. Because believers no longer own themselves, their spirit, soul, body, time, and resources must be fully yielded to glorify God and live exclusively for Him.

Christ has redeemed believers from the curse of the law in Galatians chapter 3 verses 13 to 14, delivering them from spiritual death, poverty, and sickness.
